Travel around Japan: JR Pass

We bought the JR Pass in Malaysia before flying off to Japan.

As we flew with Japan Airlines, we purchased our JR Pass at JALPAK in Menara Citibank. We got the Exchange Order within minutes. (FYI, JALPAK only sell JR Pass to JAL customers).

I also called Japan Travel Bureau (JTB) in Amoda and ANA office in KL and they informed me that they sell the JR Pass to the public (just in case).

We activated our JR Pass at Kansai Airport’s ticket office. There, we just need to fill in a simple form and then we are set!

There are other passes to opt for in different regions, offered by JR Hokkaido, JR East, JR West and JR Kyushu. It’s good to be a tourist, no?
