Feeling Under The Weather - What To Eat?

Raimie has been quite unwell during the weekdays, and as a result he hasn't been eating much. He was willing to eat some porridge but how much porridge can you take? Fried food are definitely a no-no for him.

I'm trying to figure out what to make for him and us during the weekend that all of us can enjoy. Something soupy and light would be best and these food came to mind because they not only taste nice, they are easy to make too!

Ochazuke

Nabe

Pasta

or Soba
Mmmmm... yummm... gotta do some cooking now!

  1. salam lina,

    what abt trying some chill/cold soba that dip in the soba dashi. Get soba dashi in the bottle, just boil the soba. Throw some ice and shrupp, shrupp...nikmat.

  2. I think nabe is a good idea, but maybe reduce the ingredients a bit and have more soup in it. :)

  10. @Life Ramblings,
    Luckily after not having any appetite during the weekdays, he ate everything that I cooked for him this weekend even though it is just a simple porridge. :)

    @eden,
    Thanks for commenting. :)

  11. The unusually hot weather is making my kids sick too. :(

    I'm also giving them lots of fluids and fibre. Porridge is too hot for them with this weather, so they prefer cooled noodles. :)

  19. You said their hours of operation were from 12.00pm to 2.30pm for lunch and from 6.30pm to 10.00pm for dinner. Geesh - they're not open much, particularly for a buffet style restaurant.
