J Card Members' Day At MidValley

J-Card Members' Day at Midvalley is on tomorrow from 9.00am to 11.00 pm, and on two days (Jul 15 & Jul 16 2009).

Anyone coming for the sale? These past few days, Jusco staff had been quite busy preparing for the members' day. Expect complete madness today and tomorrow!

Coincidentally, Jul 16 is marked as Buy Nothing Day. Organised in Malaysia by the Federation of Malaysian Consumers Associations as part of the National Consumer Campaign (3K) programme, Buy Nothing Day in Malaysia is marked annually on July 16 and is entering into its second year.

  1. Of course the stuff they didn't buy on "Buy Nothing Day" they would just end up buying on another day so really doesn't make any sense.

  2. yeah, i don't think this campaign will make any great significance to the consumers too.

  3. That means the mall will be jam packed like crazy over the next 2 days....I am gonna stay away. Jusco sales have been known to be cause of massive traffic jams (at least over in Puchong) and I bet it will be the same in MidValley.

    Are you gonna hit the store today?

  5. I miss Jusco in Malacca. I used to drive up to Malacca to eat and shop. It's been years since the last time.

  6. Isn't it ironical? One fellow says come buy my stuff, another says stop those purchases :P

    Anyway I'm sure you can take advantage of the members' day XD

  7. @Tornadoes28 & Life Ramblings,
    What I gather is that the Buy Nothing Day is to reflect our spending habit and look into ourselves on how really we need to spend and buy stuff.

    @Mei Teng,
    Buy Nothing Day means stop buying anything. ANYTHING!

    When I was in front of Jusco this morning (at 8.00 am) there were people waiting to go in already. ANd JUsco only opens at 9.00am!

  9. Buy Nothing Day? Since when? :p I don't think I've ever heard of it, LoL! I'm not a fan of sales... dulu kerja kat KLCC so the Isetan sale was on a few times a year, never even bothered with an Isetan card teehehe.

  10. Gosh! I didn't even know there's such a day as Buy Nothing Day!

    I don't go to Jusco member sales. Like Mei Teng, I hate the crowds! : )

  11. @*lynne*,
    for Malaysia, it was like a couple of years back. I always borrow friends' Isetan card to go to their preview. :D

    @foong,
    good to know you are not contributing to the traffic jam yesterday! :D

  13. Some of the new Jusco outlets in JB built huge and extensive parking lots to cope with the traffic. Learning much from the MV experience eh? Jusco Tebrau City used to be the biggest Jusco in Malaysia (and possibly the largest car park with open and closed parking) until Bukit Tinggi in Klang took over. Wonder how Bukit Tinggi is like...
