JAL Promo And Time To Renew Our JALFC Membership

Look what I found in my mailbox two days ago. A new promotion from Japan Airlines (JAL) to Tokyo/Osaka. The airfares are still the same with the previous promotion, which I wrote about here. With adult fares at RM1,350.00 and child fares at RM1,050.00, travelling to Japan with JAL is a little bit cheaper than with MAS. (But then, if you hate the hassle of transit in Changi Airport, MAS is the best option because MAS has direct flights but for us, we have always prefered to travel with JAL).

MAS' current promotion airfares to Tokyo/Osaka is RM713 (one way).

Anyway, back to JAL promo. This fare is valid for travel up to Oct 31 which is still too early for us. If only it ends on Nov 30 then I can book our flights straight away! Booking period starts from Aug 10 to Aug 21, so better mark your calendar if you want to reserve your tickets with JAL.
Which reminds me to renew our JAL Family Club membership. The advantage of having a JAL Family Club membership on top of our JAL Mileage Bank membership is that we can pool our mileage. Compared to MAS and SIA, JAL has been quite generous with the mileage accumulation and pooling our mileage, we can easily redeem them. Our preference is to exchange them for vouchers like this one.

  1. Hi Lina, g'mrng!

Having airline membership is mostly an advantage, the miles accumulated can be later on redeemed and used for something else. That alone is a plus factor.

Too bad your scheduled trip won't fall on the promo date.

  2. @Ayie,
    Hi Hi Hi. :)
Definitely an advantage getting an airline membership. Now we even changed our Marriott rewards points to airline mileage to accumulate more mileage (instead of points). :)

Tried to leave comments at your blog, but cannot scroll down to type the password. :(

  3. At RM1,350 (return?), it's a good deal.

  4. @Mei Teng,
retun airfare, all inclusive. It is indeed a good deal. I just wish they'll have the same airfare for the end of year.

  5. That's a fabulous deal! Wish it was in Singapore. :(

  6. I like Cathay Pacific's AsiaMiles programme. my co. used to send me to china and hk. and i earned points from flying on Cathay, Dragonair or other OneWorld airlines. there is a very good chance that I will get points to redeem them on free tickets, hotel bookings, etc.

  7. tokyo is on my travel list. i must visit this place someday.

  8. Wow. You really really love japan!!! :)
Your family should try living in Japan for a few years and see how it goes.
I've been there a few times but I wouldn't want to live there.

  9. @ECL,
The Singapore deal for Japan is SGD820.00 the cheapest, if I'm not mistaken.

    @Life Ramblings,
Yeah, always nice to get to redeem those miles, especially when it's on company expenses. :D

Definitely go visit Japan (not only Tokyo) someday!

  10. @Implosion,
Well, to each its poison. Japan suits our personality just fine. And if you must know, we did mull over the idea of trying to live in Japan for a few years. It just didn't happen yet.

  11. Aren't you gonna book? If there's no travel restriction, you can always book and then fly later.

  12. @Mei Teng,
Tickets have to be issued within 3 days from date of confirmation otherwise the reservation is cancelled. And to change date, have to pay 5,000yen per ticket. And need to travel in/out before Oct 30. That's why we have to consider serioulsy.

  13. Maybe I know that much about the payment system Perfect Money, but many are not sure, but almost the same when it comes Paypal, the payment system but not that I promote, but incentive program Paid to Put the logo here because I promote the best pay and easy to obtain .
