These are the only two photos we took with the Disney Characters at Tokyo DisneySea in 2010. Just two instead of many, many because my Son felt that he is way too big and way too cool to be running after and pose with them.
It sure was different when he was three or four, as you can see from the slide here. We had fun chasing characters and posing with them and stood in a long queue for a photo with Mickey & Minnie too. No anymore now!
Pretty soon he'll be way to cool for Ultraman! Sigh, they sure grow fast, don't they?
Anyway, won't be going to either Disney Parks on our next trip. We are planning to hit Universal Studios instead. :-)

Tokyo Disneyland, some where I dreamed to go... now it seems HK disneyland is closer!
ReplyDelete@Alice,
ReplyDeleteYeah, and HK Disneyland cost much less too. But it is small compared to Tokyo's. :)
Tadaima!
ReplyDeleteHa ha... Have another kid, maybe a daughther!
Then, you both can pose with those cartoon characters again. ;)
when were you there in 2010? i took my young son there in april 2010. he loved it, but he was only 4 so everything was exciting for him. maybe i only have a couple of years left of that excitement.
ReplyDeleteCertainly there have been a long queue more than twenty years ago.I was so tired.But my daughters seem to want to go there again.
ReplyDeleteYou know how kids are around their adolescence and teens, right? They want to look "as grown up as possible"...And they think Disney or Ultraman (or Barbie) are potential threats to their grown up image.
ReplyDeleteUniversal Studios? Sounds like a really great plan.
@London Caller,
ReplyDeleteI just chase the characters myself. No need another child! ;)
@reesan,
ReplyDeleteYeah, you have only a few more years of your child's wide eyed wonder. Enjoy it while it last. :D
We were there in September. Scorching hot!
@cocomino,
ReplyDeleteI was tired too! But my son was raring to try all the rides.
Now of course, he is excited to visit USJ. :)
@Con Artist Trickster,
ReplyDeleteTrue! :)
Kamen riders are still cool though. ^^
You think so? Yup, excited to visit USJ! :)
Oh yes, you are too big for this!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHmm, wonder if I should go Disneyland during my Hong Kong trip later this month?
ReplyDeleteYou are never too big for Disneyland!! It is a magical place for kids and adults alike.
ReplyDelete@foong,
ReplyDeleteYou should! And try get photo with Snow White (or is it Cinderella). LOL
@Japan Australia,
ReplyDeleteThe Panda said I'm too big already! LOL
He loves Disneyland but he doesn't want to chase after the characters anymore. ;)
Hehe.. Well, one day he'll sit next to you with his kid on his lap and look thru all these photos of him n u guys are gonna laugh out loud at how "big" you guys were.. :)
ReplyDeleteAwwwww at your little boy. Thing is we can never grow up hehehe if that was me at Disneyland, i'd be chasing everyone of my childhood characters hehehe
ReplyDelete@Bella,
ReplyDeleteAnd I woudlregale all the embarassing stories about my grandchild's dad. :D
@cuteandcurls,
ReplyDeleteMake sure you do when you get there! :)
It'd be so much fun to see in your photo album afterwards, ^^
One's never too old to pose with cartoon characters. My husband and I do it whenever we can. I didn't know there is an Universal Studios in Asia.
ReplyDelete@AVCr8teur,
ReplyDeleteThere are two now! One in Japan and a newly opened park in Singapore. :)
Ha ha... But you still need someone to take the photos for you right?
ReplyDeleteYou "daughter" can help you lah! Ha ha...
Ohhh!! I've been to neither Disney resorts in Japan. Disney Sea sounds more fun though for some reason.
ReplyDeleteYeees, USJ is fuuuun!!! Don't have too high expectations of the Back to the Future ride though, unless it's for purely nostalgic reasons. ;P
@London Caller,
ReplyDeleteYa ya ya. right....
Plenty of Disney Crew around to help take photo lah. ;p
@Ri,
ReplyDeleteDisneySea would appeal for more us, uhm... mature visitors. Plenty of awesome roller coaster and scary rides too, compared to Disneyland. :)
Can't wait to get to USJ! Nostalgic, I like. ;p
i'd love to take pics with cartoon characters but more often, there are very long queues.
ReplyDelete@LR,
ReplyDeleteThat's right. But there are also characters that do their walkabout around the park and we simply ran up to them and ask for a photo. Many times, we did just that and has lot in our collection. ^^
hey, Raimie looks like his dad so much in the photos!
ReplyDelete@Ayie,
ReplyDeleteYou think so?
Well,I know one thing. He has his Mommy's jaw. :D
