Eating In Hakodate

What do most people think when they think of Hokkaido? This humongous crabs? Wish we can have them but they were too darn expensive.
I practically drooled over these plastic food display.
In the end, Mommy chose this for her lunch. Shredded crab meat on rice or something. It's been a year since she ate this... kinda forgotten what its called. ;p
Daddy had this, all kind of salmon - sliced, roe and shredded.
Son had tanuki udon. This boy is rather partial of udon and soba. ^^

Dinner was eaten on the move, so we all got ekiben.

Which one of the two would you prefer? ^^

  7. Hakodate's got to be fresh seafood. Hokkaido is famous for its seafood and dairy products as well as its rich Miso Ramen. I even know a few people who weren't seafood fans until they visited Hokkaido and tasted some of the best fresh seafood on the planet.

    1. I've a friend who actually complained of having to eat seafood all through her trip to Hokkaido with the tour group! Talk about getting too much of a good thing. xD

    1. The ones we had was super nice. :)

      And no peeling was involved.

But I want to try the whole crab course (and pay a bomb for it) one day instead of just one puny set meal. ^^

  11. They all look good so it would be hard to choose. Since it was cold outside, I would most likely have a soup-based lunch.
