Is It Autumn Yet?

We've been getting daily rain here lately and somehow it reminded me of Japan. Go figure! Hahaha

Anyway, the Nine Emperor Gods Festival was celebrated yesterday by the Taoist. Something that gotta to do with the stars and waterways... I can't talk much about it but maybe Bananaz could elaborate on it?
Kinda missing this.

Patience my dear, patience. ^^

  5. Autumn is approaching cautiously but gracefully in Tokyo. I was in Koishikawa Kōrakuen this morning, and the leaves have only just started blushing.

Kobe Marathon? Why Kobe, and not Nara? My zebras will be happy anywhere as long as they have chocolate, but I'll definitely visit Nara, too. Never been there; always wanted to go.

  6. Sorry Bananaz not too well versed but can only share a fair bit here. Yeah like you said its something to do with Stars and a dedication to the nine sons of goddess Dou Mu. Nine Emperor Gods celebration is for 9 days starting on the eve of the 9th lunar month which is on 5-13Oct. On the 9th day which is the Grand finale there will be heavy downpour with the ending of procession at the sea front. Most devotees are expected to be on a strict vegetarian diet for 9 days. Most common happening are the fire walking and piercing of rods through the mouth or tongue during the celebration with some similarity like Thaipusam.
