In A Week's Time

My young man will celebrate his 11th birthday soon.

He told us he doesn't need a cake for his birthday. And yes, we didn't get him one last year too.
The last birthday cake we bought for him. For his 9th birthday. In 2011.
He enjoyed this for his 10th birthday instead.

Nothing wrong or sad about not having a birthday cake to celebrate a birthday. We do not need to conform to what perception others have on how we do things.

What matters is that we have each other to celebrate this special day.

A week more and my young man will be 11. :)

  4. Happy birthday Raimie. My son's birthday is in 2 weeks time, but he will also not be having a birthday cake (due to diabetes) He is having a pool party and barbeque with his friends and I will make some low carb desserts. His biggest gift is going to be a puppy, which is way better than a birthday cake!
